About Delafield

Historic Delafield is located 30 minutes west of Milwaukee, nestled in the hills of the Kettle Moraine and adjacent to the shores of Lake Nagawicka. Delafield currently has a population around 7,500 residents.

The Delafield area is home to many different green spaces and lakes for everyone to enjoy. Within the city there’s a handful of parks that residents can pick from to enjoy a beautiful day. Some of the parks also have waterfront access, so getting a kayak on the water is a breeze. Delafield almost completely surrounds Nagawicka Lake, a 981 acre lake with clear water that’s perfect for many different types of recreation. Boaters and fisherman alike will appreciate the size of the lake as it ensures they won’t be on top of each other while they’re trying to enjoy the lake. Delafield is also has lakes to the west, north, and east. These lakes are Nemahbin, Pine, and Pewaukee Lake respectively. All of these lakes have pretty clear water are perfect for any kind of recreational activity under the sun. Delafield is also home to six different bike trails that run all around the city. Delafield’s historic downtown district is host to a variety of events every month of the year. The Delafield Fall Art Walk brings local art to the sidewalks of downtown. Browse some of the art for sale all while listening to live music and performances. There’s even horse drawn carriage rides for those who want to relax while riding around the town. Halloween in Delafield showcases hundreds of carved pumpkins along with a light and music show designed to get you into the spooky spirit of Halloween. Breakfast with the Reindeer is a fun event for the whole family. This event takes place in early December every year and offers live music, free breakfast, and a chance for the kids to meet Santa and his reindeer.
